The Magical Kabak Koyu

Turkey is seriously full of hidden gems. Actually, it feels like ALL of Turkey is like one big beautiful gem waiting to be explored, haha, i'm serious, it's crazy beautiful! Since we were in Butterfly Valley, we decided to go to Kabak Koyu which is not too far, just 2 short bus rides and a hike away. The first bus was about 30 minutes, the second bus was about 15 minutes and the hike was like 30 - 40 minutes, which I think could've been shorter if we hadn't gotten lost, haha. Kabak Koyu is the hippiest/hipster beach i've been to, from the bungalow we stayed in to the people. Picture tie dye shirts, all vegetarian meals, dread locks on the vast majority of guys and girls, yoga, I mean...it was all pretty cool. There were people from all over the world too, the UK, Spain, Mexico, Germany, all there seeking the same thing: A far away beach that's not packed with tourists.

We stayed in these small bungalows on the mountain called Yeredeniz and they were pretty awesome. What I loved most about this place was the view and the FOOD! OMG, the food was so delicious! It was all vegetarian food and it was all amazing. Seriously, SO GOOD. I didn't take any photos of the food because, well, when it was dinner time I literally grabbed a plate and just piled it high and deep with everything, lol. I felt like I was eating out of a trough, lol, terrible.

(below) I almost forgot to tell you guys about the super cool island/beach dog we met. He was there on his own, just hanging around playing with whoever would show him a little love, lol, and of course we did. He was playing fetch with Giray and would go into the water and swim with us. I realllllllllly wanted to take him back with us. I miss you puppy dog! He even looks likes he's the sweetest most kindest dog ever, right?!
