Exploring Marrakech
Exploring Marrakech was such an adventure; the architecture, food, people, the way of life, it was all so different and great. Here are a few photos from our looooooong walks all over the city.
The architecture here is amazing! So much history and art, I absolutely loved it all. The photo below was taken outside 1 of the 6 palaces the King has in Marrakech. The walls surrounding the palace are so high even if you were on the roof of the surrounding 3 -4 story buildings, you wouldn't be able to peer in.

(below) A gorgeous mosque next to the Saadian Tombs.
(below) This here is the entrance to the Saadian Tombs. Even the lighting here was amazing, haha.
(below) There's so much detail in all of the work they do, it's incredible.

(below) The Bahia Palace
(below) This place made me feel like I was somewhere tropical. There was a garden with all kinds of fruit trees, apple, orange, lime, banana and tangerine.
(below) Look at that art work! The ceilings were like this throughout the entire palace. Can you believe that?! I mean, just imagine the time and labor it took to do this. Morocco, you really are inspiring!
(below) Seriously?! This palace was amazing and gorgeous and so insanely beautiful!
The sun light was coming in through the stained glass windows creating such a magical place and moment, it was so great.
Isn't this place magical?! Giray and I must've walked close to 10 or 15 miles in 1 day! As i'm ending this post, I realized I didn't post any photos of the food we ate throughout the day. I think we were so hungry after all that walking that we didn't think to snap photos of our food, lol.
Anyway, after a long day of walking, Giray and I purchased a bottle of wine and hung out at the roof top of the Riad we were staying in. It was perfect. The weather was nice, the moon was bright, we had a great bottle of wine and we were so happy to be sitting doing nothing but listening to the humming of scooters near by. Cheers to more days like this!
